Construction daily report
What is a construction daily report?
A construction daily report is the dated site record of weather, labor, visitors, work completed, disruptions and evidence for one project day.
Definition
The report records what was observable on site on a specific date. Common entries include weather, crew presence, subcontractors, completed work, deliveries, delays, incidents, photos and a written narrative.
Daily reports become useful when they form a continuous project history rather than isolated files. The date, author and attachments make later schedule, change or dispute discussions easier to reconstruct.
A daily report records the day; a progress report interprets a period
The daily report captures facts and observations for one site day. A progress report summarizes status, milestones or percentages over a longer interval and may draw on many daily reports.

How a digital daily log stays connected
Home Builder Software keeps each report in the project file with date, author, weather, labor, visitors, narrative and photos. The evidence remains beside schedule, RFIs and other records that may later refer to that day.
